There are seven candidates who have announced their intentions to run for governor. A notable candidate is not running former congressman Jim Ramstad. Former Senator Norm Coleman has yet to decide whether he will run for governor. Coleman previously ran in 1998. So far the contendors are Rep. Marty Seifert, former Speaker Steve Sviggum, former state auditor Pat Anderson, Rep. Laura Brod, former Rep. Bill Haas, State Senator David Hahn.
